Welcome to THe Gualala Gadget Gallery
On this page we are featuring some of our favorite gadgets we’ve designed. Read below about the inspiration and specifications for our gadgets.
We are working hard to bring some of our designs to you to 3D-print yourselves, assemble as a kit or to buy fully assembled.
Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to find out when they will be available.

Small Gear
A six chambered gear collects balls and lifts them to the top of the maze where each ball is deposited onto one of two tracks. The balls descend the tangled tracks back to the gear’s loading zone at the bottom of the gadget, where they repeat the circuit.
• 90 x 92 x 96 millimeters tall
• Two parallel tracks
• 37 balls/minute bandwidth (battery version)
• 12 second latency
• 10 total balls
• Battery powered
You can BUY NOW fully assembled or as a kit you assemble yourself. Click HERE to learn more.
Manual (FREE STL)
This model is operated manually. Just turn the lifter and the marbles will be carried to the top of the maze.

Sisyphus
A single ball slowly climbs the spiral, and once the climb has been accomplished, is released and quickly travels all the way back down, only to repeat the cycle endlessly. In the spirit of the myth this gadget should only torture a single ball. The ball may suffer, but the occasional sound produced by this gadget is especially soothing.
• 60 x 65 x 85 millimeters tall
• One bi-directional track
• Bandwidth less than 1 ball per minute
• One ball
• Battery powered
Archimedes
Archimedes inspires this gadget. A central lifting screw collects the balls in one of two chambered columns and slowly lifts them to the top of the maze, where they are released to begin their descent along the two tangled paths.
• 102 x 102 x 136 millimeters tall
• Two tracks arranged in series
• 32 balls per minute bandwidth
• 50 second latency
• 26 total balls
• Battery powered
Coaxial
A radial lifting mechanism raises balls in a clockwise direction through twenty five stages around a central axis. The descending path continues in a clockwise direction, coaxially positioned around the lifting piston.
• 70 (cylindrical) x 110 millimeters tall
• One clockwise track, up and down
• 48 balls per minute bandwidth
• 30 second latency
• 20 total balls
• Battery powered
Piston
A ten chambered piston is employed by this gadget o lift the balls. Each chamber passes the ball to the next chamber by way of a curved track. Once at the top of the piston each ball is released to travel a spiral path back to the bottom. The synchronous action of the piston evokes an engine busily operating under a heavy load.
• 55 x 102 x 110 millimeters tall
• One clockwise track
• 46 balls per minute bandwidth
• 17 second latency
• 15 total balls
• Battery powered
Large Gear
Similar to the Small Gear, but larger with three tracks and an 18 chambered wheel. This gadget is especially frenetic, with twenty or more balls in motion.
